About

This website started as a simple idea. I wanted people to know that books matter. And it was just not the super nerd in me that wanted people to know this. They do matter.

Books play a significant role in our lives, especially when resolving conflicts and improving relationships. I’m not just describing romantic relationships but our connections within our communities, both local and global.

Books give us a deeper understanding of people, places, and things. Understanding someone else’s perspective is the first step toward improving our world. It may sound a bit dramatic, but it’s true. And books make it possible.

Don’t believe me? Turn on your local news—the whole thing is about conflict. But if we can understand different people or groups of people, we can find a better solution and maybe come to a peaceful resolution.

Books do this; they help us understand the feelings, motivations, and vulnerabilities that we all feel and that impact our lives.

So, I created a website with a simple, clean, and visually appealing blog-like style. I designed the website to be user-friendly and accessible to everyone, regardless of a person’s reading habits or academic background.

Consider it a database for cool stories and what I learned from them. I try to pull a bit from each book I read. The book analysis is not exhaustive. Some of these books have entire semesters at universities devoted to them. I’m just an amateur telling you what I got from a book.

I try to make the articles short and easy to read so that non-academics and non-consistent readers can read them and be interested.

I sincerely hope that you find this website enjoyable and informative. More than anything, I hope it inspires you to visit your local bookstore, grab a delicious drink, and open a book that piques your interest. Your enjoyment and learning from this website are my top priorities.

Thank you for being here.
